Jewellry worth Rs 1.87 lakh was burgled from a house of a government servant from the city between Friday and Sunday morning.
Shrikrishna Naik, an accounts officer with the Directorate of Accounts, Mr Naik, who was residing at the government quarters Patto, recently shifted to Porvorim where he constructed his house.
However, Naik kept the possession of the quarters wherein he kept his belongings and visited the place frequently.
Police said Naik last visited the place on Friday and when he came back on Sunday his door lock was broken open and the jewelry missing from the house. A case under section 454, 457 and 380 of IPC has been registered.
