Jharkhand native gets life rap

The South Goa Sessions Court on Saturday sentenced to life imprisonment a native of Jharkhand for the murder of one Pal alias Paul at Cansaulim in 2007.
A day after he was held guilty for Pal’s murder, Additional Sessions Judge P V Savaikar sentenced 26-year old Sudhir Khanulano to life imprisonment today. The court has further directed the accused to pay of Rs 10,000.
In this case, the body of deceased Pal was found lying on the railway track at the Cansaulim railway station and police investigations only revealed that the deceased was murdered after the accused slit his throat and caused a wound in his abdomen.
The prosecution led by Public Prosecutor Bhanudas Gaonkar, had examined 15 witnesses in support of its case.
