PERNEM: Businessman and Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) director, Jit Arolkar from Dhargal, Pernem resigned from his post on Friday.
When asked what prompted him to take this drastic step, he hurriedly said that he was given to understand from a source that the former Congress Mandrem MLA, Dayanand Sopte who recently joined the BJP would be given charge of GTDC on Monday.
“I do not want to work under him and be a part of the corrupt practices he will indulge in. I cannot stay and be a part of all the malpractices. I have heard that he will be taking over as chairman of GTDC. First of all he does not know anything of GTDC infrastructure,” Jit said.
