CANACONA: The collapse of one of the residential blocks under construction at Ruby Residency at Chaudi has sent shivers among many occupants from the other blocks.
A lady occupant of one of the blocks residing at the top floor, where Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar resides, came running out Sunday afternoon and wanted electronic media to visit her flat. She was heard complaining about substandard work of her flat and that no one was paying heed to her when she complained to the builders on several occasions.
According to the woman, large cracks have developed in her flat and her flat looks in a very precarious condition.
Earlier in the morning, two women with their children were interacting with media complaining that they were called on Saturday to take possession of flats they had booked in the residency.
The women after informing that they are from Navelim said they had booked three double bedroom flats and two studios in the block wing which collapsed on Saturday and incidentally they could not make it to take possession on that day as they were busy.
They further informed that including their relatives they booked around nine flats in the Ruby Residency Complex.
