Jonah had deposed on December 23 but as he was unable to give satisfactory answers and had asked for time to recollect the incident he had been called again on Saturday.
Jonah sent Agassaim police a letter through his legal counsel stating that he has prior engagements which he needs to attend and asked that fresh summons be sent after January 2, 2016.
A case has been filed against Remo for verbally abusing a minor girl from Malvan, Sidhudurg at Goa Medical College and Hospital. The girl had been earlier was knocked down by a car, driven by Jonah, on the Guirim-Mapusa stretch of the highway. Remo has been booked under section 8 r/w 2(m) of Goa Children’s Act 2003.
Meanwhile, sources at Agassaim police station said they have initiated the process to send lookout notices issued against Remo to all immigration points at airports, sea ports and borders of the country.
When contacted Agassaim Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi refused to comment claiming the case is under investigation and necessary action will be
initiated.
