Jose Philip to contest LS polls if ordered

VASCO: The Nationalist Congress Party, Goa unit, President Jose Philip D’Souza on Wednesday said that he would contest the Lok Sabha polls from South Goa in 2019 if he is ordered to do so by his party.
He has also said that the election results of five states have also reaffirmed the importance of alliance between parties before elections.
D’Souza said, “If you ask me whether I will contest from South Goa in 2019, I say that if my party supremo Sharad Pawar asks me to do so, I will contest; the party order is supreme for us.”
On the necessarily of forming pre-poll alliance, he said, “In the last two elections, it looked like alliance was not needed. This election results show that alliance is important and all leaders of all parties have to observe it. It is called strength.”
“This election result will show colors in Goa too. Do good in the beginning don’t wait for last moment; this is the lesson to the BJP Government in Centre and Goa,” he said.
I urge the Minister Mauvin Godinho to open the hospital at Chicalim for needy people; if it doesn’t open when needed it’s of no use later,” D’Souza said.
