PANJIM: Seven candidates have cleared the final round for the posts of Junior Scale Officer (JSO) advertised by the Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) last year.
The GPSC, on Wednesday, had conducted interview round of all the seven candidates – four from General Category and two from OBC Category – who cleared the written exam held recently.
The pre-screening and Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) exams to fill in 22 vacancies of JSO were held in November 2020 and December 2020 respectively. Analysis of the outcome of the first level of exam, reported by Herald, indicated that nearly 60% pass-outs were engineering graduates.
The Commission, until the present results, had been able to select only 9 candidates out of the 11 advertised in 2016 although three attempts were made by the GPSC to select suitable candidates. Vacancies for 22 posts were thereafter advertised in January 2020 with CBRT scheduled in March 2020. However, the exam had to be postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic. In November 2020, the Commission decided to have pre-screening followed by CBRT, written test and interview.
