MARGAO: The South Goa Advocates’ Association at its extra ordinary general body meeting has commended and appreciated the act of the four judges in rebelling against the Chief Justice of India.
Association president Adv Rajiv Gomes said, “It must have been done in such circumstances that it looked like they may have been compelled to do it.” He said, “The people always believed that the SC was supreme and right and clean. The judges have now shown that all is not well in the SC.”
The advocates also deliberated upon the serious allegations made against the functioning of the Supreme Court and the larger need to preserve the independence of the judiciary.
