Kadamba employees threaten hunger stir

MARGAO: Members of the Kadamba Employees Co-operative Credit Society Ltd has threatened a hunger strike in Panjim from Tuesday to protest against the failure of the KTC management to remit the salary deduction into the credit society.

MARGAO:  Members of the Kadamba Employees Co-operative Credit Society Ltd has threatened a hunger strike in Panjim from Tuesday to protest against the failure of the KTC management to remit the salary deduction into the credit society.
 Addressing the media, Kadamba Employees Credit society secretary Judas Fernandes said though their employer has deducted loan instalments, the same is not remitted to the society.
Judas said the employees had availed loan from the KTC employees co-op credit society and had authorised the salary disbursement officer to deduct the monthly instalment fro their salaries every month and remit the same to the Credit society. He, however, said that the deducted amount has not been send to the Society.
Society Chairman Rupesh Naik said around an amount of Rs 3.5 crore of loan instalments have not been remitted to the society by the management till date.
