Due to incessant rain fall in the state the Kadshi Mopa footbridge
has been inducted. A flood-like situation has occurred in the area. Almost 10
to 12 families residing in Kadashi village have been cut off from Mopa as the
footbridge connecting these villages has been inducted due to incessant rains
in the area.
The locals are reluctant to
leave their houses as there is no other safer route to cross the river. There
is a power outage in the area and internet service, mobiles and even landlines
have stopped working. Ever since the footbridge has gone under water the
students have not been able to attend school.
The local MLA Pravin
Arlekar on Wednesday along with authorities visited the site and assured to
resolve the issue as soon as possible. MLA also said that the issue has been
raised in the ongoing assembly session, and promised locals to build a new
bridge at the earliest.
