PANJIM: This year 120 artistes from the department of Art and Culture, who have contributed to their respective field were presented with the Kala Gaurav Puraskar Award Wednesday.
This year the awardees of two years ~ 2011-12 (60) artistes and 2012-13 (60) were felicitated.
This year awards have been given in the fields of music, dance, drama, tiatr, folk art, creative photography, painting, craft, sculpture, bhajan, kirtan, literature, and film.
The awards were presented by Dayanand Mandrekar, Minister for Arts and Culture who was the chief guest. Also present was Vishnu Surya Wagh, Chairman of Kala Academy and a litterateur himself.
