MARGAO: The Colva police upon a complaint from a 29-year-old victim girl from Kalay, Sanguem registered an offence under sections 376, 313, 323, 504, 506(ii) IPC against Chetan Bandodkar, also from Khodnamol, Kalay, Saguem for rape and assault.
In her complaint to the police filed on March 24, the victim has stated that in 2012 at a hotel in Colva, the accused on the pretext that he would marry her, had sexual intercourse on several occasions due to which she became pregnant. Further the accused threatened the victim with dire consequences and took her to a hospital in Ponda and without her consent aborted the said pregnancy.
No arrest has been made and PSI R Tari in investigating the complaint.
