MARGAO: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Digambar Kamat on Monday welcomed the Congress Working Committee’s (CWC) decision to authorise party president Sonia Gandhiji to affect necessary organisational changes that she may deem appropriate to tackle all challenges faced by the party.
Digambar said he is confident that Congress will emerge stronger and victorious in the days ahead.
Digambar said, “Congress has always worked for safeguarding the democratic values within and outside party forums and the unanimous resolution of the Congress Working Committee after almost seven-hour long deliberation by the 52 dedicated Congress leaders is the reflection of democratic process followed in the party.”
“Smt Sonia Gandhiji has sacrificed a lot for the nation as well as for the Congress. She has time and again led the party during difficult situations and handled challenges by upholding the party ideology. I am sure, very soon we will see a rejuvenated and energised Congress all across India,” he said.
