PANJIM: With the Uddhav Thackeray-led coalition government winning the floor test in Maharashtra, State Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, while congratulating the ‘Maha Vikas Aaghadi’ said personal egos, high handedness and self-centric aspirations need to be kept aside to run a successful coalition government.
In a press statement issued, Kamat congratulated Maharashtra Chief Minister Udhav Thackeray of Maha Vikas Aaghadi for winning the trust vote with 169 votes.
Digambar Kamat tweeted: Congratulations to CMUdhav Thackeray of Maha Vikas Aaghadi for winning the Trust Vote with 169 votes in Maharashtra Assembly. I am confident that the @INCMaharashtra, @ncp & @ShivSena alliance Government supported by other likeminded parties will also win peoples confidence.
“The personal egos, high handedness and self centric aspirations need to be kept aside to run a successful coalition government. I have experienced it and have completed my five year term as Chief Minister,” he said.
Kamat said he is confident that the alliance government of Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena supported by other likeminded parties will work effectively with the Common Minimum Programme.
“I am sure that this government will be of the people, by the people and for the people and will win people’s confidence soon,” the former CM said.
“I am sure Udhav Thackeray will lead this government and complete the term with blessings of all,” he added.
