Kamat opposes re-doing of ODP

MARGAO: Opposition Leader Digambar Kamat on Tuesday opposed the re-doing of the Outline Development Plan, which came up for discussion during the SGPDA meeting.

Kamat said, “The government has sent a letter that new ODP has to be done. New ODP has been done in 2019. We are in March 2020 and again the ODP has been asked. What additional development will be held within two years? I will raise this issue on the ODP in the House.”

Chairman of SGPDA Wilfred D’Sa said that they have received a clearance from the Chief Town Planner for the ODP and accordingly put up to the Authority.

“We have received many complaints regarding the present ODP. However, only two members of the Authority have taken objection to having the ODPs done again,” said Wilfred D’Sa. The chairman also said the Ponda Dhavali 60 plots of PDA will be auctioned and sold for which the base price has been set to Rs15, 000 minimum rate.
