PANJIM: “It is a matter of pride for all of us on the outstanding performance of the brave girl Puja Melekar of Shel-Melauli, who stood first in Goa University securing highest marks in Analytical Chemistry at TYBSC examination. I congratulate her for the achievement and urge Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to withdraw all the cases filed against her and others during their protest against IIT project at Shel-Melauli,” said Leader of the Opposition Digambar Kamat.
The students are unable to attend the online classes due to non-availability of consistent Internet connection, Kamat said urging the government to activate the Intranet Optic Fibre Cable Network, which had reached all the village panchayats in Goa to facilitate easy access of network to students.
“Unfortunately, my consistent reminders to the government have no yielded any results till date causing inconvenience to the students as well as the parents,” Kamat said demanding that the government must come out with an academic action plan in view of the disruptions caused due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
