MARGAO: Margao MLA Digambar Kamat has set a new deadline for the completion of the work on Margao Sewerage line system.
He said work would be completed by December and domestic and commercial connections would begin thereafter.
Kamat informed that a full review meeting of the sewerage plant was held between the officials of the Sewerage Corporation and PWD officials and that the work of Sewerage Corporation was 90% complete.
However, some road stretches in Aquem, near Damodar Housing Society and others are still pending, he said, adding that these works began on Wednesday and would be complete entirely by December.
“JICA work has reached Kharebandh and the work near Damodar College and Kharebandh will be completed by October 30. The work of Navelim road will completed by November 30 and by December 31, the agencies will complete the works,” he said.
