PANJIM: Locals from Karapur, Mayem have appealed to the authorities to look into their 20-year-old demand for a proper road to be constructed in their area.
They complained that for years they have been after the authorities to construct at least a basic road in the interest of the large number of residents of the area who have been suffering.
They also complained of the non-functional streetlights in the area barring one or two.
They claimed that often, the authorities have visited their village for inspections, made promises but nothing has materialised.
They further appealed that before the election code of conduct, the road issue be looked into.
