BICHOLIM: Gokuldas Sawant was elected unopposed as the sarpanch of Karapur Sarvan panchayat.
According sources, the post had fallen vacant after the then sarpanch, Ujwala Kawlekar had tendered her resignation. Gokuldas was the only candidate to file the nomination.
