Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai wants a Kannada Bhavan in Goa. He has written to Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant requesting him to provide at least 1 to 2 acres of govt land for the construction of Kannada Bhavan in Goa. Bommai said that the Karnataka government has taken steps to promote the Konkani language and literature and has also sanctioned Rs 3 crore for the construction of Konkani Academy at Mangaluru.
