Karthik, Priyanka called to Delhi; Kalsi, Mahla replace couple

PANJIM: Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed the Government of Goa to relieve Superintendent of Police (SP) of Crime Branch, Karthik Kashyap and SP of ATS, Priyanka Kashyap.

According to an order from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, both the officers have been transferred to New Delhi, as the couple, have already completed three years of posting in Goa. 
Sagar Singh Kalsi and Devesh Kumar Mahla will be replacing Karthik and Priyanka as SPs in Goa.
Mahla was earlier posted to Arunachal Pradesh through an order on May 20, 2016. But the latest MHA order says that he will not go to Arunachal but will come to Goa from New Delhi.
According to the MHA order, the State governments are directed to relieve the officers within 15 days from the date issue of the order.
The Joint Cadre Authority has approved the transfer/posting of the officers.
Karthik and Priyanka are from the 2009 batch while Sagar is from the 2010 batch and Devesh is from the 2012 batch.
Karthik Kashyap is an IPS from Gujarat cadre. 
Priyanka and Karthik were trained at Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad.
Sagar Singh Kalsi, is presently Additional DCP-I, West District, Delhi Police. Devesh Kumar Mahla is presently posted as SDPO, Kotwali, Delhi Police.
