CANACONA: The parents of the students of Government Primary School at Karvem have threatened to stop sending their wards to the school, if a teacher who was accused of misbehaving with students in the past is posted to their school.
On coming to know that the said teacher is being transferred to Karvem in Gaondogrem, the parents of over 40 students of the school protested at the school premises.
As the agitating parents requested the intervention of local MLA to sort out the matter, local MLA Isidore Fernandes and Assistant District Educational Inspector (ADEI) met the agitating parents on Tuesday.
The request of the ADEI to keep the teacher on trial for one month was outright rejected by the parents.
Later, MLA Isidore Fernandes told the ADEI to speak to the director of education to find a quick solution so that the studies of the students are not affected.
