PANJIM: While reacting to the statement made by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, leader of opposition Chandrakant (Babu) Kavalekar said that Vishwajit himself “is a big joker who sticks anywhere.”
”Vishwajit is a perfect joker, he was first elected as an independent, then joined Congress and left it and now is with the ruling alliance. He should think twice before making any comments on Congress leaders”, he said.
It may be recalled that Congress has filed a disqualification against its former member Viswajit Rane who quit the party after winning the Valpoi seat and joined the alliance government led by the BJP.
While addressing reporters on Saturday, Vishwajit had made a comment that all Congressmen are bunch of jokers and the disqualification petition filed against him by Congress is also a joke.
Kavalekar condemned the statement made by Rane and said that he (Vishwajit) has grown up under the shadow of Congress since his childhood and he should have learnt what Congress is all about from his father, he added.
”If Vishwajit says disqualification is a joke than why is he disturbed. He has no right to make any comments on the party leadership in Goa as well as at centre”, Kavalekar added.
