VASCO: Dabolim Police arrested two Kazakhstan nationals on charges of causing nuisance near Dabolim airport late Wednesday night.
According to Dabolim PI Naulesh Desai, Gokuzhin R Bakhtiyav (24) and Kazhigaliyev M Amirzhan arrived by a charter flight at Dabolim airport on Wednesday at about 10.30 pm.
“After they came out of the airport terminal, Bakhtiyav and Amirzhan, who were under the influence of alcohol, started fighting with each other instead of boarding their coach,” informed PI Desai.
PI Desai further said the Dabolim Police tried to pacify them, but they kept on fighting with each other. “As the Kazakhstan nationals could not be controlled by the police, the loaders and taxi drivers rushed to assist the police and with the help of the loaders and taxi drivers, police could control the fight and later took them to Chicalim Cottage Hospital for medical test,” informed PI Desai.
The doctor at the hospital after administering first aid certified that both the foreign nationals were under the influence of alcohol.
PI Desai said Bakhtiyav and Amirzhan were later arrested under Section 34 (6) of Indian Police Act and were produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class Vasco on Thursday.
PI Desai added that Bakhtiyav and Amirzhan pleaded guilty before the magistrate and they were released after fines were imposed on them.
