PANJIM: Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday termed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s promise of 300 units free electricity to Goans as an election gimmick claiming the people of Goa will not fall prey to such promises.
“Goa is not Delhi and Kejriwal should not fool the people of Goa. We will not fall prey to his election gimmick,” stated BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade, hours after Kejriwal’s early morning press meet to announce election doles.
Tanavade further took a dig at Kejriwal stating that a party which has no representation in the Goa Legislative Assembly should not fool the people of Goa with promises that cannot be fulfilled.
“They have no MLA in the Assembly which is why the party is making many promises. But the people of Goa have full faith in BJP. The picture will be clear in the coming election,” he said.
