VALPOI: The Government Primary School at Kelawade in Keri Sattari is in a dilapidated condition.
The school building is 35 years old and its roof is heavily leaking causing severe inconvenience to students. Besides, the walls of the building have developed many wide cracks and the plaster is peeling off. Further, the school also lacks the basic facilities.
Currently, the strength of the students studying in all four Classes (First to Fourth standards) is 30.
The PTA has already written to the Director of Education to repair the school building immediately. “But they have not taken any action till date,” complained a PTA member.
“Every year we are writing a letter to the Director of Education, regarding school building repair works. This school also has a single teacher which impacts the quality of education, since a single teacher cannot take care of all the four classes,” complained a parent.
