Kenyan held for playing loud music

CANACONA, APRIL 12 A 31-year-old Kenyan national was arrested on charges of playing loud music at Colomb beach in Canacona on Sunday midnight and for overstaying in the country. According to Canacona police, Micah Aloo Gumbi was arrested at a shack in Colomb while playing music as late as 12.15 am on Monday.

A 31-year-old Kenyan national was arrested on charges of playing loud music at Colomb beach in Canacona on Sunday midnight and for overstaying in the country.
According to Canacona police, Micah Aloo Gumbi was arrested at a shack in Colomb while playing music as late as 12.15 am on Monday.
He was accordingly booked under Sections 7 and 10 of Madhya Pradesh Music Act, informed police. Gumbi was also found overstaying in India and accordingly was booked under Sections 3 (2) (a) and 6 (2) of Passport Entry Act.
Canacona police further informed that he was produced before JMFC, who remanded him to four days police custody.
Police also informed that the accused was arrested by HC Ratnakar Naik and Sudesh Bhagat and further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PI Raju Raut Dessai.
PI Raut Dessai is holding the additional charge of Canacona police station after PI Suraj Halarnkar was transferred out of Canacona without any substitute.
