MARGAO: Margao police on Sunday arrested a 41-year-old fugitive from Kerala, who had committed theft in Kerala and was absconding for a long time.
At present, he is in custody of Margao Police Station for an enquiry. According to police, they were on the watch of accused person named Nausad K after receiving information about the theft case reported in Kerala.
During the course of investigation, the accused person was traced around Fatorda area and based on the information reached at the site and detained him.
He was staying in Margao after committing theft in Kerala.
Kerala police had alerted their counterpart in Margao about absconding of the accused person. He had committed theft of gold ornaments, cash, watch and other valuables items. Kerala police have been informed about the arrest.
