PANJIM: The Panjim police on Wednesday arrested a 43-year-old man, native of Kerala for allegedly committing theft of camera and its accessories worth Rs five lakh.
The accused has been identified as Denu Nair who allegedly stole professional camera, lens and gold chain totalling worth Rs 5 lakh from the complainant on pretext of photo shoot, who is by occupation a film director. The accused had fled from the site after committing the theft on September 4. Police traced his vehicle using from CCTV footages.
“All the stolen goods have been recovered and the accused has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC and is in police custody,” a senior police officer said.
