SATTARI: Over the past six months, the Below Poverty Line (BPL) people of Sattari didn’t receive the monthly kerosene quota at ration shops.
However, the beneficiaries from the taluka are facing the several problems because of shortage of kerosene supply for the last five months in State.
Since last month the villages from Sattari are has started facing the heat of that crisis in multiple fronts.
“This year, the rainfall has started very early and there is no proper power supply in the rural villages of Sattari. In monsoon season, we are dependent on kerosene for lighting lamps at home,” said one of the villagers.
