Khandeparkar chief of Police Complaints Authority

Justice R M S Khandeparkar a former judge of the Bombay High Court has been appointed the new chairman of the State Police Complaints Authority (SPCA).

PANJIM: Justice R M S Khandeparkar a former judge of the Bombay High Court has been appointed the new chairman of the State Police Complaints Authority (SPCA). 

Making a statement during his reply on the issue of mining, in which Justice RMS Khandeparkar is also appointed the chairman of the inquiry committee to look into the illegalities in mining that were pointed out by Shah Commission, Parrikar said both the SPCA and the inquiry committee will function from the Serra building which currently houses the SPCA. 

Justice Khandeparkar has been appointed the chairman of the State Police Complaints Authority and this will also function from the Serra building, Parrikar said. 

The former chairman of the State Police Complaints Authority Justice (Retd) Eurico Silva resigned from the post recently resulting the SPCA being shut.
