PANJIM: Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte has said that the persons protesting against the Jetty Policy are either eyeing political entry through activism or trying to revive their dead political careers.
He said that it is a ‘Tourism Jetty Policy’ and that he will welcome the objections and suggestions from all. Khaunte said that he knows what he is doing and that it is only to regulate the trade.
“Our Tourism Jetty Policy will come, we are clear it is only for the jetties that are operational for tourism purposes,” he claimed.
The clamour around the jetty policy is increasing every passing day. Some social activists and environment warriors from every village of Goa have planned a massive bike rally on Sunday, October 30, to protest against the draft Jetty Policy 2022.
