CANACONA: Another two COVID positive cases were detected in Canacona including a 12-year-old boy from Khola taking the tally of confirmed cases to 86 in the taluka.
The number of active cases stands at 29 in the taluka as four persons were discharged on Saturday after recovering from the infection.
Canacona Community Health Centre (CHC) health officer Dr Vandana Desai informed that on Saturday two persons tested positive for COVID-19 and the confirmed cases in the taluka stand at 86.
“Of the two cases, the first patient is a 40-year-old man from Bupar-Gaondogrem, who works in the Police Department, while the other is a 12-year-old boy from Khola,” Dr Desai disclosed.
“The boy’s mother has opted for home isolation, while the 40-year-old man has been admitted to COVID Care Centre at Shiroda,” Dr Desai said.
“Of the 86 cases detected in Canacona till date, there have been 55 recoveries, two deaths and 29 active cases, Dr Desai added.
