KILLER MOM: Suchana Shet taken for medical Checkup at Candolim

Major Breakthrough in Tragic Case: Killer Mom Leaves Confessional Note as Police Investigate

In a shocking turn of events, the case involving the alleged murder of a 4-year-old child has taken a significant leap forward as the accused, Suchana Seth, was taken for a medical checkup at the primary health center in Candolim on Friday afternoon. Currently under police custody for six days, the investigation has uncovered a confessional note, shedding light on the possible motives behind the heinous act.

While Suchana Seth has not verbally confessed to the crime during police questioning, a breakthrough emerged when investigators discovered a note written in English within the same bag where the victim, Chinmay’s body, was found. The note, written on a tissue paper with an eye-liner, reads, “I am extremely guilty and frustrated. I love my son, but I did not want him to see his father.” Police have confirmed that Suchana has acknowledged writing the note.

However on Friday, Suchana Shet refused to go to crime scene and co-operate with the same.

Forensic experts were promptly engaged, and handwriting samples from Suchana were collected on Thursday to corroborate the authenticity of the note. Despite the incriminating content of the message, Suchana has not verbally admitted to the crime during police interrogation.

According to insights from Suchana’s co-workers, she had a close bond with her son, often expressing that he reminded her of her estranged husband, Venkatraman, due to a striking resemblance. Suchana had visited Goa in December 2023 with her son for a vacation, adding to the complexity of the case.

Following the collection of handwriting samples, Suchana underwent a medical test, and her lawyer was granted a meeting on Wednesday. Despite the gravity of the charges, she has made no specific requests and is being treated similarly to other accused individuals, receiving regular meals including fish-curry rice.

Further statements were recorded from two additional persons on Thursday, bringing the total to 15 individuals whose statements have been documented. However, the motive behind Suchana Seth’s alleged act remains unclear, as she is reportedly uncooperative during police questioning.

In a camera interview, Director General of Police Jaspal Singh stated, “The accused is not cooperating at all. Hence we have to rely upon the evidence that we collect.” Sources revealed that Suchana had sent a WhatsApp message to her husband, Venkat Raman, on Saturday, stating, “YOU CAN MEET THE CHILD” on Sunday in Bengaluru. However, she subsequently flew to Goa with her son and stayed for two days in the Sol Banyan Grand service apartment. The reason behind calling her estranged husband and then evading his visitation day remains unclear.

As the investigation continues, the confessional note adds a new dimension to the case, and authorities are working diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
