PANJIM: NGO GOACAN has written to the District Collector, North Goa alleging obstruction created for passenger passage due to construction of huge kiosk at KTC Bus Stand in the capital city.
“We from GOACAN wish to bring to your notice that an obstruction has been created for the free passage of passengers from the Bus Bay area to the KTC Bus Stand complex due to the construction of a huge kiosk. This kiosk being constructed has blocked the alternate passage available thereby forcing all passengers to use the ramp meant for disabled persons and senior citizens,” the letter reads.
The NGO has also submitted photographs clearly indicating the blockage due to the construction. GOACAN coordinator Roland Martins stated they apprehend it will create huge problems later if there is a fire incident or a stampede.
