MARGAO: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Kisan Cell will organise a “Kisan Melava” on October 10, at Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandap, Rivona, at 4.30 pm.
“GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Member of Parliament Francisco Sardinha, Congress MLAs and office-bearers will attend the melava,” informed Congress Kisan Cell Convenor Abhijit Dessai, who was accompanied by South Goa District Congress member Chanda Velip and Sanguem Block Youth Congress President Prakash Bhagat.
“The anti-farmers laws brought in by the Modi government are opposed by various farmers’ organisations across the country. Unfortunately, the BJP government is ignoring the issues raised by the farmers. The Congress Party will work towards giving justice to the farmers,” stated Dessai.
