MARGAO: In a proactive move to maintain fair travel practices, Konkan Railways conducted extensive ticket checking drives throughout November , leading to the detection of 7,013 cases of unauthorised or irregular travel. The railway authorities responded decisively by imposing penalties on the offenders.
In response, efforts were made to enforce penalties, resulting in the successful collection of fines amounting to Rs 2,05,52,446. This proactive approach not only enhances the overall travel experience for law-abiding passengers but also reinforces the importance of adhering to ticketing norms within the Konkan Railway network.
