PANJIM: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar will inaugurate the 30th session of the All India Konkani Parishad (AIKP) along with noted Konkani theatre activist Chandrashekar Shenoy, MLA Siddharth Kunkolienkar and Panjim Mayor Shubam Chodankar.
The AIKP will organise the three-day event to celebrate its 30th session to commemorate the Konkani community and its achievements.
The event will be held at Kala Academy and Gomantak Maratha Samaj Panjim, from January 22 to 24.
The event includes panel discussions, poetry sessions and cultural performances.
AIKP will also felicitate Advocate Uday Bhembre on being awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award.
Bardoy Barreto, of the film Nachoia Kumpasar fame, will attend the valedictory function.
Reception Committee head Shantaram Walaulikar said, “We request all members of the Konkani community, in and outside Goa, to attend this festival.”
