SOLVA-RAIA: The feast of Our Lady of Snows Raia, also known as Konsachem fest, will be celebrated on August 5.
Raia is the first village in Goa to cut and bless the first corn every year.
The blessing of the banner (maddi) will be on July 26 and the Novena masses will start on July 27 at 5.45 pm followed by rosary and mass.
On the feast day, there will be masses at 5.30 am, 7 am and 8.30 am which will be followed by the blessing and cutting of the first corn at Saibinichi Kongi, Raia by Fr Lucio Alexandre Dias Episcopal vicar for South Zone. The feast mass will be at 10 am Fr Romeo Monteiro, Chancellor of Archbishop Patriarch’s House will be the main celebrant. The last eucharistic service will be at 12 pm.
