The harvest festival, known as Konsachem Fest, was celebrated in Corlim on Tuesday.
St Joao Facundo Church Parish Priest Fr Asis Dourado was the main celebrant for the feast mass, who along with the villagers led a procession to Calvaddo towards Konsachi Kongi and blessed the first paddy corn.
After cutting the corn, it was distributed among the parishioners, who had assembled for the feast mass. Later, the procession was once again taken back to the church, where Fr Dourado delivered the feast mass.
As part of the Harvest festival tradition in Corlim, every year people from the village, young and old, gather and celebrate the festival with the coconut breaking contest.The coconut breaking contests was also organized at most of the places in and around Corlim.
