SATTARI: Twenty-two-year-old youth from Hivrem one Mahadev Soma Vandekar died on the spot in a tempo-scooter collision at Kopardem on Saturday.
According to locals, the driver of the tempo laden with cylinders was proceeding from Kopardem to Valpoi while Mahadev riding a scooter was proceeding from Kopardem to Hivrem. The locals said it was raining heavily and at sharp turn both vehicles dashed against each other. The impact was such that Mahadev died on spot.
Valpoi Police conducted the panchanama.
Mahadev, the sole bread winner in his family, worked at pharmaceutical company. He is survived by father, mother, brother and sister.
