PANJIM: Managing Director of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, Srinet Kothwale, has been given additional charge of the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (IPB).
The development comes after Ashton Godinho resigned as the board CEO due to ill health. The resignation was accepted by the government following which the interim arrangement has been made.
Prior to Godinho’s appointment in November 2015, Kotwale had served as IPB’s CEO for nearly a year.
Even after Godinho had joined, Kotwale continued to be a part of the board in an advisory role.
In October 2016, Godinho had temporarily vacated his post due to health-related issues, after which Kotwale stepped in to fill his shoes at the IPB.
Sources said that the appointment on additional charge will not stall the board functioning and help in scrutinising and clearing several projects awaiting approvals.
