KR PC caught slapping rly employee on camera

MARGAO: Caught on the wrong foot on the CCTV footage, the Konkan Railway police constable accused of assaulting a Konkan Railway employee, now finds himself in a tight spot.

MARGAO: Caught on the wrong foot on the CCTV footage, the Konkan Railway police constable accused of assaulting a Konkan Railway employee, now finds himself in a tight spot.
The KR police station registered an FIR against the constable Nilesh Kaskar after senior RPF officer K Prit showed the CCTV footage of the assault incident to KR police station DySP Mohan Naik on Wednesday morning. 
After viewing the footage, DySP Mohan Naik immediately issued instructions to PSI Dattaguru Sawant to register an FIR against the PC and submit a report for further action.
When contacted, PSI Sawant said the police has registered a criminal case under section 332 (assault) and under 353 of the IPC (assaulting government official on duty).  Sources in the know said the Konkan railway officials are believed to have demanded strict action against the police constable, including his arrest.  Though the Konkan railway police had come to the defence of its constable on Tuesday, the CCTV footage showed that the constable slapping the employee Ajay Vijai Bhandare at the railway footbridge.
Incidentally, constable Kaskar was instrumental in effecting seizure of liquor from two KRC employees at the Margao railway station during the weekend.
Konkan railway officials are believed to have demanded strict action against the police constable, including 
his arrest
