MAPUSA: Mapusa police have arrested a native of Bijapur, Karnataka for allegedly kidnapping and sexually abusing a minor girl.
SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi informed that on June 10, mother of the victim had lodged a complaint stating that the accused person identified as Nagesh, alias Sanju Lalsab Kolakar (23), presently residing at Mapusa and native of Bijapur, Karnataka kidnapped the complainant’s minor daughter, aged 14 years.
During the course of investigation, the staff lead by PSI Bablo Parab visited Etagi, Karnataka and after hectic efforts and developing the information through sources, apprehended the accused person with victim girl at Etagi, Bijapur, Karnataka and on Tuesday the accused was placed under arrest. The accused has been remanded to four days police custody. The medical examination of the victim girl revealed that she was sexual abused. Hence, POCSO Act has also been added to the FIR.
