Panjim: Kadamba bus driver Elvis Rodrigues is suspended for driving a bus under the influence of alcohol, if anyone is found will be directly suspended from the services, said Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Friday.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant made a firm declaration in response to the recent incident involving a Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited bus driver, Elvis Rodrigues, who was caught driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver’s actions, reported by Old Goa Police, raised concerns about passenger safety.
Sawant announced immediate and severe consequences for such actions. Elvis Rodrigues faced suspension following the incident, serving as a direct example. The Chief Minister underscored a zero-tolerance policy, stating that any employee found driving public transport services under the influence of alcohol will face immediate suspension.
