KTCL Chairman Ulhas Tuenkar Says CM Has Cleared Files for Retired Employees’ Pending Dues

KTCL Chairman and Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar on Friday stated that Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has cleared the files related to the pending dues of retired employees of the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL).

Tuenkar said the retired employees had recently met him while protesting over the long-pending payments. He explained that the total outstanding amount was approximately ₹40 crore, which made immediate full disbursement difficult.

“Since the pending amount is quite large, it was not possible to release it all at once,” Tuenkar said, adding that part of the dues would now be disbursed to the retired employees in the next few days.

The assurance has brought some relief to the agitating employees, who have been seeking early settlement of their dues for a considerable period.
