KTCL Enforces Stricter Cash Verification to Curb Revenue Leakage

Kadamba Transport Corporation mandates new cash declaration protocols and surprise depot audits to combat unissued tickets and financial discrepancies.

The Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd. (KTCL) has implemented strict cash monitoring following complaints of revenue pilferage and ticketless fare collections. Conductors must now declare cash collections at their depot’s Traffic Section, log entries in a formal register, and secure an official acknowledgement before transferring funds to Accounts.

Under the new directives, any financial shortages will be recovered directly from the conductor’s salary, whereas excess cash will be surrendered to KTCL. Furthermore, surprise inspections and weekly reporting have been ordered across the Panaji, Porvorim, Margao, and Vasco depots to ensure strict compliance.
