PANJIM: The delivery of the first 20 electric buses procured by the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) will be launched at Bambolim on Thursday, May 18.
These electric buses have been built by a Delhi-based company and few buses will be used on routes in the Panjim city as per the comprehensive mobility plan prepared by the imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL), under the Smart City Mission
The KTC is presently operating 50 electric buses (air-conditioned) mostly on nationalised routes and with the launching of additional 20 buses, its fleet will increase to 70 buses. The KTC plans to procure about 148 electric buses.
