PANJIM: After being declared as one of the defaulter, former BJP MLA Siddharat Kuncolienkar has submitted his statements of assets and liabilities for the financial year 2016-2017 before Goa Lokayukta.
On October 31, Lokayukta declared names of 12 public representatives, including three MLAs, who had not filed their statements of assets and liabilities for the financial year 2016-2017.
On November 3, Kuncolienkar filed his statement before the Lokayukta. He was Panjim MLA during financial year 2016-17.
Under the Goa Lokayukta Act 2011, every public functionary has to submit a statement of his assets and liabilities within six months from the date of assuming office. Thereafter, the statement has to be filed every year, before June 30. After filing statement of his assets and liabilities by Kuncolienkar, currently two MLAs are yet to file their statements.
