SANGUEM: Chairman of Kurdi Vividh Kari Sahakari Seva Society (KVKSSS) Francisco Mascarenhas stoutly denied any misappropriation of funds in the society as alleged by some sections of society.
Assuring the society’s shareholders and account holders, he said the reports appearing in some media are totally false and fabricated aimed at only tarnishing the image of the society by some disgruntled elements.
“Since I took over the management of this society in 1989, the society has grown in leaps and bounds and its financial condition is robust and hence there is no reason for the shareholders to worry,” he said.
Briefing media persons at Sanguem, he said some disgruntled elements in the village were spreading the canards while pointing out that the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Society has already investigated the allegations and given the society a clean chit.
